Junipers

Evergreen shrubs or trees, dioecious or monoecious. Mature leaves decussate, appressed, imbricate and small; juvenile leaves subulate and spreading. Male cones of several scales bearing 2-6 pollen-sacs. Female cones fleshy, berry-like and indehiscent; scales fleshy, swollen and fused.
