Trichilia

Dioecious trees. Leaves imparipinnate. Flowers unisexual, but male and female flowers appearing little different, borne in congested cymes (in ours). Calyx 5-lobed. Petals 5, free. Filaments 10, united in the lower half with anthers inserted between a pair of triangular appendages. Ovary 2-3(-4)-locular. Stigma capitate. Fruit a loculicidal capsule.
