Cocksfoot Or Orchard Grass

Perennial. Inflorescence a contracted panicle, lobed, 1-sided, the spikelets grouped in compact fascicles at the ends of the main branches. Spikelets 2-5-flowered, laterally flattened. Glumes keeled.
