Dioecious, aromatic, glabrous shrub. Stipules subulate, paired, connate with the petiole, persistent. Leaves smelling of resin when crushed, opposite, flabellate, plicate, articulate with the petiole. Flowers sessile in terminal, erect, catkin-like inflorescences. Perianth 0.
