This species occurs from Europe south to NW Africa, and east occurs only in some countries such as Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan (Hedge 1968), up to Himalayas. It has apparently been introduced to Yemen, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. This species is known from only two localities in western Iran (Hedge 1968, Karami et al. 2001), and a few additional sites in the low...
