Tree to 12 m or more. Young branchlets pubescent or glabrous. Leaflets mostly in 2 pairs, occasionally more, leaf surface dull, usually glaucous (compare B. spiciformis). Flowers in dense panicles often borne on the previous year’s wood. © Mark Hyde, Bart Wursten and Petra Ballings (licence)
