Heath Dog Violet
Heath dog violets are found throughout the Netherlands on dry moderately nutrient-poor sandy soils in the dunes, arid grassland, roadsides and heath fields. It even grows on the 'tuinwallen' (garden walls) on Texel. Heath dog violet is easy to distinguish from the dune pansy by its color: it has no yellow.
