Wild Alder Family

Evergreen trees or shrubs. Stipules large, spoon-like (in ours). Leaves opposite, 3-foliolate or imparipinnate. Flowers bisexual, actinomorphic. Sepals 4-5. Petals 4-5. Stamens 8-10.
