There are many species in the plant genus Cynoglossum (/ˌsɪnoʊˈɡlɒsəm, ˌsaɪ-, -nə-/). They are coarse-appearing, small-flowered plants of the family Boraginaceae. Cynoglossum officinale, the common hound's-tongue, is a native of Asia, Africa, and Europe.
