Creeping perennials, rooting at the nodes. Leaves on slender petioles, sometimes peltate. Inflorescence a simple umbel (sometimes ± capitate) or an interrupted spike. Flowers white to greenish-yellow; calyx teeth minute; stylopodium depressed. Fruit strongly laterally flattened; carpophore 0.
